Late August/Early September of every year we get the chance to go to one of our personal favorite locations for sessions. If you’ve ever gone on our website you’ll see a plethora of pictures with beautiful sunflowers in them. The flowers are a great location for pictures of families, kids, and even babies. In order to take full advantage of this awesome spot during sunflower season here’s what you need to know!
First and foremost, the sunflower are in bloom for an extremely small window of time. The blooms tend to open early September, sometimes late August and stay looking good for roughly 10 days. Because of the short window of time for these flowers it's important to let us know early if you are interested. We'll notify you when the flowers are just about ready so we can get you in our schedule.
Located 10 minutes from our studio, this location adds an amazing splash of color to your portraits. As always we must take mother nature into consideration. If the weather does not go in our favor it can make the already small time frame even smaller. But you know what they say, no rain means no flowers!
The field has been a great place for children because it gives them space to run around and allows us to capture great candid pictures. Many of our favorite candids have been a product of our sunflower photos.
So are you ready to take the leap and book your session before it’s too late? Don’t forget we have a waitlist where we will call you as soon as the fields are in bloom so you don’t miss the perfect moment! Click here to contact us now.
